Field Service Technician (position code: tech007)

Job location:  Rancho Cucamonga California area
Position type:  Full Time / Day shift
Salary range:  $18-$35 hr. / Commission / Bonuses
Job shift:  Mon-Fri (5 days a week 8-10 hours a shift)

Job Summary

The Service Technician is responsible performing on site troubleshooting, repair, maintenance, parts replacement on a variety of gates & access control systems.

Essential Duties and Functions

  • Provides a positive and excellent customer service to both residential and commercial customers.
  • Diagnoses issues, perform repair or and installation.
  • Performs all necessary preventative and corrective maintenance.
  • Welding
  • low-voltage wiring.
  • Ensures all workplace clean and health, safety requirements are met.
  • Maintains housekeeping and security of customer job sites.
  • Manages work van inventory and partners with office manager order or purchase specialized equipment, missing parts, and other components and tools.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Education and Experience

  • Technical skills.
  • Education and/or experience equivalent a High School diploma and 2 or more years working with gate operators, electronic controls, or other low-voltage electrical systems, or similar trade-related experience.
  • Basic welding knowledge.
  • At least 2 year of field service-related experience.
  • Able to operate big motor vehicle for extended periods of time. (Cargo Van)
  • Clean driving record.
  • Physical Requirements: Able to push/pull/lift up to 60 lbs. Able to stand, climb, walk, kneel, and crouch frequently, as required.
